HiPic is Hamamatsu’s software with emphasis on physical and industrial applications. Not only all Hamamatsu monochrome DCAM based cameras like e.g. SCMOS ORCA-Flash series or ImagEM EM-CCD cameras are supported. Internal driver modules allow the use of line sensors or X-ray cameras, TDI cameras and analogue cameras with HiPic, too. DCAM-API Drivers for USB is a program marketed by the software company Hamamatsu Photonics K.K. Some people choose to uninstall it. This is troublesome because removing this by hand requires some knowledge regarding removing Windows programs manually.
